- Respecting the Circle of Life (RCL) is an evidence-based STD/HIV and pregnancy prevention program for Native American youth between ages 11 and 19 and their parents or other trusted adults. RCL includes 8 camp-based sessions for youth and an additional home-based session for the youth together with a parent or other trusted adult. RCL gives youth the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves from unplanned pregnancy and STDs, including HIV. RCL is highly interactive and also covers problem solving, values, goal setting, and how to talk with parents and adults about sexual decision making. Check out the video here!
- Ogitchidag Gikinooamaagad Peer Education is a youth development program for American Indian teens ages 12 to 18 that teaches youth about preventing pregnancies during adolescence and sexually transmitted diseases. A variety of activities are used to teach these skills, including: visualizations, art, discussion, role-plays, videos, brainstorming, talking circles, and ceremonies. Every unit is active, thought-provoking, culturally grounded, and includes examples, history, statistics, and experiences are woven into play in each of the units.

Three new
Enhancement Activities
have been added to the site too. The Enhancement Activities pull content from curricula available on the site, including:
Native It’s Your Game, We R Native Facilitators Guide, Native STAND, Native VOICES, and Responding to Concerning Posts
on Social Media, while other activity guides have been created from scratch.
These tools can be used to connect youth to culture as a protective factor, while covering vital information about sexual health, mental health, personal development and rule-setting, identity, dating and relationships, drug and alcohol use, suicide prevention, internet safety, and bullying.
We’ll be adding new Activities soon, so stay tuned for more.

Provide Curriculum Feedback
We’d like to track who is using curricula housed on the site and how many youth are being reached by each program. If you’re using more than one program, please fill out the form for each program you’ve implemented in the last 6 months. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
