Knitters, quilters, and crafters: come craft with us in the Community Room on the first Wednesday of every month! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, you are welcome to come and work on your own projects while socializing with fellow enthusiasts. Get project ideas, ask questions, and share tips and advice. Must bring your own equipment and supplies.
Getting Started with Libby and Overdrive

Attend this drop-in session to get started with Libby, Overdrive, and the eZone. We will go over signing up, browsing the catalog, and checking out items in Libby. Learn how to use the Ocean State Libraries’ digital collection to check out ebooks, audiobooks, videos, and more! Attendees will be required to wear a mask for this event in the Learning Center.

Registration is recommended, but not required.

Watercolor Painting

The Senior Center’s Watercolor Painting Class, taught by Madeleine Diogenes, will now meet at the Library! The group will meet every Tuesday afternoon, from 1:00 to 3:00pm, in the Community Room. All are welcome to attend.
Landscape Painting

Local artist John Irwin is back to bring us this popular art class! In this 2-hour session, John will take you step by step through the process of starting a landscape painting and deciding when it is finished. All materials will be supplied.

This month, the Children's Department is hosting the I’m Your Neighbor Books’ Welcoming Library. The Welcoming Library is a collection of acclaimed children’s picture books featuring New Arrival and New American families. Tiverton is just one stop for this traveling library that is visiting public libraries throughout Rhode Island. Stop by and explore this special collection of books, discussion questions, and take-home activities all month long.

The Welcoming Library project in Rhode Island is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Storytime Stroll

Recommended for ages 2–8

Stroll around the Library Lawn and read a picture book. Enjoy a new story each week. At the end of your walk pick up a craft kit to make at the picnic tables or to bring home.

Bring a bag and pack your own activity kit to enjoy at home. Visit the activity tower in the Children's Room to stock up on a variety of fun seasonal activities. We will stock the tower each week with a variety of paper crafts, puzzles, and games. New activities will be added every Saturday!
Pollinator Pals
