Library services will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.
Meet the Staff
Kyle Sousa
Name: Kyle Sousa
Library Position: Technology Coordinator
Where will we most likely see you in the library?
You can see me at the Info Desk or helping people using the computer. In the future, you can meet with me by appointment for 1-on-1 tech help. You can see me at tech-related events, like Retro Game Club, Video Game Strategy Hour, Technology Instruction, and Electronic Waste Recycle Day.
What do you do at the library?
I provide access and assistance with safe and secure technology -- I offer assistance and instruction to patrons using the library, and I maintain and update the devices in the building to ensure security, safety, and privacy.
I enjoy talking with patrons and staff about tech and discovering new and exciting ambitions and ideas for technology use at the library. I also tinker and investigate new technology. I look at the devices we have at the library and determine ways to best make use of them. I try to find new purposes and bring new life to old tech. I keep up-to-date with tech news to help keep us moving in a forward-thinking direction.
What are you reading or watching lately?
I am currently rewatching Regular Show from Cartoon Network.
Tell us about a hobby you take interest in outside of your work at the library.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing the piano, guitar, and a few other instruments. I play music and gigs in a few bands, learning songs by ear. For fitness, I like to do cycling and weight/resistance training. I try to ride my bicycle a few miles a day in the spring, summer, and fall. My favorite route is a scenic ride along the river. For technology outside of work, I like to tinker with Linux and play video games.
