Meet Billie!

We are delighted to be part of the #Lex250 art project to decorate the town with painted horses. Our horse is different, because instead of being painted by hired artists, we are inviting the community to create its own.

Horse Scupture

Introducing Mladost Folk Ensemble!

This group has been dancing at the Munroe Center since 2016, as a youth folk dance troupe made up of dancers aged 10 and up. They learn and perform dances from countries across the world, from Bolivia to Bulgaria and beyond.

SAVE THE DATE

September 8, from 2 to 4 pm


To try out a class on Sunday, for interested young dancers, age 10 through young adult. All dancer levels welcome, including complete beginners! We’ll learn some basic international dances and talk about why we love dancing with Mladost. The class will be in room 201 on the second floor of MCA.

Bikeway Block Party

You don't want to miss this whopping great event filled with art, music, dance (you will LOVE learning BollyX, we guarantee it). And like any good block party, there will be giant bubbles, crafts, and food. There are 5 locations along the bike path for you to pick from ... oh, but the choice - plan your day now!

DrumConnection, Boston’s own: West African Drumming community found a home at Munroe Center for the Arts about 35 years ago.


With weekly classes, Drumcircles, Master workshops, artist from around the globe come teach for Alan Tauber‘s DrumConnection. Interested in community djembe drumming? This is the place to start. Fun and exciting classes every week. Specialty workshops by the masters still alive today.

We would love to see your art part of this year's ArtWalk, displaying art in the shop windows of Lexington Center.


2D and 3D work accepted, and participants do not need to be Lexington residents.

We are still looking for more COLORFUL old t-shirts to be used in a public weaving sculpture that will become a sculpture in East Lexington @ the Bikeway Block Party. 24 inch strips of colorful fabric also appreciated.
