Fall Party: LAST CALL TO RSVP

High School Reunion

September 10, 2022 @ 5PM

Our Fall Party will be a classic HS Reunion featuring cocktails and a delicious reunion style buffet followed by dancing to the music of each era!

In preparation I would ask that you all dig out those embarrassing High School photos and send them along to me at pambras@gmail.com no later than September 1st.

Dress to match your Graduation year and celebrate the glory days. Appetizers and desserts appreciated. RSVP by September 3.

Cost is $25 for adults, $10 for ages 11-20, and 10 and under is free!

School Equipment Shed

As mentioned in our August newsletter, we are in need of a shed to store school boat equipment. Our needs are growing, and it's time to move out of the classroom.

We are going to hold a Kick off Meeting on Sunday, September 11 at 11AM. If you think you may be interested in any capacity such as design, planning, purchasing of material, construction, etc., please consider attending. Please RSVP to Lidia by Sunday September 4.

In parallel to the planning, we are going to hold a fundraiser to help offset the cost of any material that will need to be purchased. We are planning a Basket Raffle to be held during the Fall Membership Meeting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you'd like to help by offering a donation, helping with making baskets, reaching out to local businesses, please contact Lidia. We would like to keep track of who we ask for donations so that we don't bug the same business more than once.

New First Sail Coordinator: Acacia Mo

Please join us in congratulating Acacia Mo on her new role as First Sail Coordinator. Acacia will be the point of contact going forward for any incoming inquiries, and will be reaching out out our volunteer captains to schedule rides. The First Sail program has been a great addition to our club offerings. To learn more about the program, visit our website, or find out additional details on the US Sailing website under First Sail.

Acacia began her sailing career with PCC las year and has since completed our Basic Keelboat course. She is well underway with her Small Boat course as well and will be testing for her Small Boat Level 1 certificate later this fall.

October hors d'oeuvre party

Join us on Saturday, October 1st at 6:00 PM for our monthly hors d'oeuvre party!

Come and enjoy the camaraderie of the evening. Bring your favorite dish to share. It's BYOB or donate to the fridge. Friends and new or potential members are welcome. This is a great opportunity to show off our facilities to any folks interested in membership. No RSVP's necessary, just show up. See you all there!

Huge thanks to Ron Gallagher for keeping an eye on the well being of our galley equipment! As our old fridge and stove were on their last gimbals, Ron not only found us great deals but also delivered, cleaned and installed new equipment.

Phew, our wild parties can now go on :)
