Development Updates

Groundbreaking at Flint Commerce Center

Builders broke ground at Flint Commerce Center last month, marking the start of construction on the first commercial building at Flint. The first construction will be Building C, comprising approximately a million square feet--half of which will be occupied by Panasonic. Flint Development also recently acquired 100 acres of De Soto land for residential development opportunities.

As De Soto Mayor Rick Walker noted in his speech at the groundbreaking, the partnerships between the City and Flint will create jobs and opportunities, generate revenue, widen the City's tax base, and help De Soto build a more robust economy. Building C is expected to be completed in July 2024. The kickoff was attended by Flint Development founders and Flint Commerce Center partners, as well as Panasonic and De Soto City staff.
