Happy Fall,

Even though the summer is over, this time of year here in Freeport still has lots of activities and events for you to do. It is a beautiful time of year to visit the Nautical Mile, take a charter boat out for a day of fishing, take a scenic ride on the Freeport Water Taxi, and have a delicious meal at one of our many restaurants.

Stop by and visit Atlantic Nurseries and Garden Center and pick up some pumpkins, beautiful fall flowers, decorations and other items. It is such a fun place to visit!

Our last monthly luncheon was jam packed and there were many great connections made. Thank you to Lee Ann Molten, library director and Marilyn Pignataro, the cultural programmer for a fabulous presentation about the library and all the services they provide. They have been featured as our business of the month, so check them out as well, and visit the library! Thank you Tropix for a delicious lunch too!

If you missed our last luncheon, we are doing another one on the 30th of this month. It will be held at Rachel’s on Woodcleft Ave, and our speaker is Dave Montgomery. Speaking on how to maximize your social security and I know so money vs. I hope so money.  Something we all need to pay attention to these days.

Unfortunately, we had some very sad news. Carol Sparaco a long-time director and Freeport residence passed away on Friday September 17,2021. She will be greatly missed. Her presence and contribution to the Chamber and community will remain in our hearts as she was always willing to be of service.

As we move ahead, we have a Fall Festival that is scheduled for the October 24th. We are looking for volunteers, and vendors to participate. Please call the Rec center 377-2311 for more details.  We are also looking for contestants for our chowder/seafood soup contest. It will be a day of fun for the whole family!

As always, we could not do the things we do, without the support of our members. If you are not current with your dues, please call the Chamber so we can get your membership up to date.
Please visit our website and Facebook page for more information.

Sincerely,

The Freeport Chamber
