All classes on Thursday and Friday, plus the fun auction & banquet are planned to be in the top level banquet room overlooking downtown Sioux Falls! Please make plans to bring the whole family as we're looking at ways to incorporate all ages and get them involved and interested in the auction industry!

Welcome to the Association Mr. Klein, we look forward to seeing you at future SDAA events! | | GET TO KNOW YOUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS! | | | | Mike Girard, CAI: Mike is a 2nd generation auctioneer. He attended the University of South Dakota for his undergrad and then Continental Auction School in Mankato, MN. Girard has also achieved his CAI designation through the NAA. He has been a full time auctioneer & RE Associate Broker since 2006. His company, Girard Auction & Land Brokers, Inc. handles auctions of all types but specializes in Farm Toys, Signs, Firearms, Memorabilia, Antique Tractors, Collector Cars and all types of Real Estate. Him and his wife, Kasandra, reside in Irene, SD with his three children: Micah, Walker & Grace. Mike is the current SDAA President, serves on the Irene-Wakonda School Board & Glenridge Golf Course Board; member of the Wakonda Fire & Rescue. In his spare time he enjoys coaching his kids in baseball and basketball as well as taking time to enjoy fishing, hunting & golfing. | | Jackson Hegerfeld: Growing up on a cattle and row crop farm near Elkton, SD, Jackson Hegerfeld developed a strong appreciation for agriculture, family businesses, and the hard work behind both. Today, he serves as a Land Broker, Auctioneer, and Farm Manager throughout South Dakota and Minnesota and is the lead auctioneer and broker for the Advantage Land Co. Team. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Economics from Northern State University, where he was also a team captain for NSU Football. His experience in land brokerage and farm management gives him extensive knowledge of regional land values, rental rates, buyers, and farm improvement opportunities. Jackson and his wife, Barbara, have four children—Mason, Dawson, Hudsyn, and Madisyn—and he continues to manage his family farm near Elkton while enjoying hunting, farming, working cattle, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. | | | | | |
