IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING EMAILS FROM ST. NICHOLAS:
We have received several messages regarding emails from the church office that appear with a series of numbers and letters (e.g. 0000015542ebfff7-dmarc-request@LISTSERV.GOARCH.ORG). This is due to a change implemented by the Archdiocese’s Department of Internet Ministries that manages our Listserv -- see notice below. We are in the process of finding a better alternative. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience!
NOTICE FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE
Dear List Owners and Authorized Senders,
Warmest greetings in Christ!
Today, we made an important configuration change to the Archdiocese’s LISTSERV service to improve the delivery of list messages. We apologize for not providing advance notice regarding this change.
In recent weeks, we’ve seen a rise in messages sent through the Listserv being flagged as spam—especially from @gmail.com addresses, but also from other domains. This is due to stricter email security rules being adopted by many providers.
Following the configuration change, messages you send will now arrive to your users from your name but with a different email address that looks like 012345abcdefg6789-dmarc-request@LISTSERV.GOARCH.ORG (it will not be this set of numbers and letters, but something similar). The message will contain your email address as the reply-to address, so recipients can still respond to you directly.
This change should not affect how you send or receive messages, but if you notice anything unusual, please let us know right away.
In Christ,
The Department of Internet Ministries
