Uniform Physical Condition Standards
Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) Training Academy will be providing a one-day training on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. ET, at Liberty Green, 500 E. Jefferson Street, Louisville. The training targets property management companies and owners that are responsible for maintaining compliance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program. The cost of the training is $10 for OCCH partners and $100 for non-partners. Early registration is encouraged due to limited space.  

The training will cover the following topics:  

*    Basic principles of UPCS Inspection Protocol 
*    Health and Safety Hazards 
*    Inspected Items and Areas  
*    REAC Scoring and Summary  
*    Definitions of Site Issues

Basic LIHTC Compliance Training
Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) Training Academy will be providing a one-day training on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. ET, at Lexington Fayette Urban County Housing Authority, 300 West New Circle Road, Lexington, KY. The training targets property management companies and owners that are responsible for maintaining compliance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program. The training is being provided free of charge by Ohio Capital. Early registration is encouraged due to limited space.  

The training will cover the following topics:

*    The value of credit 
*    Qualifying Households 
*    Unit and Project Requirements 
*    On-going Compliance Requirements 
*    Monitoring Compliance 
*    8823-Report of Non-Compliance

HCA VAWA Training Video Available 
KHC's Housing Contract Administration (HCA) has developed a Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) training video to assist the HCA programs that must comply with these requirements. The video can be accessed on the HCA Help Desk under VAWA. 
Budget Modification Guidelines 
The Budget Modification Guidelines is a tool for partners to easily identify eligible modifications within the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Continuum of Care, Emergency Solutions Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships, Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS, and Weatherization programs. The Budget Modification Guidelines is located on the HCA Help Desk under Program Funding Draw Management, Program Funding Draw Management Tools and Resources. Any need for a program budget modification first requires the submission of the Modification Waiver Request, which is also found on the HCA Help Desk under Compliance. 
Labor Day Holiday
Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) offices will be closed Monday, September 4, 2017, in observance of Labor Day. KHC offices will re-open on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 8 a.m. ET. Please have a safe and happy holiday.
