Deep in the Afromontane forests of Uganda in East Africa, 9000 feet above sea level, the volcanic rocks and soil make this one of the most fertile spots on Earth, where Arabica coffee trees grown at highest altitude produce remarkably rich coffees.
Above the volcanic slopes live the most endangered ape, the Mountain Gorilla. These gentle creatures have never survived captivity to date, and have been victims of massive poaching. Today’s population of Mountain Gorillas is estimated to be only 1063 individuals.

We at Urth Caffé had the great privilege to make an expedition to Uganda to visit the Mountain Gorillas and to meet with local farmers who live in their midst. We have a long term commitment to these dedicated farmers, investing in tools, live stock, and coffee processing equipment to help our friends become one of the world’s finest coffee estates. This burrito – inspired by our Huevos Rancheros and Pizza Huevos Rancheros – is made with farm-fresh eggs, house-made Ranchero sauce, black beans, soy chorizo, almond cheese, ripe avocado and micro cilantro wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla (gluten-free* tortillas are available), then garnished with fresh jalapeño chili.
