Science Olympiad (SO)

The ICS Science Club welcomes you to the new school year! The Science Olympiad (SO) is back on! Any ICS student in any grade can participate in the competition, there are no prerequisites.

Competitions are like academic track meets with team events. Each team will have a maximum of 15 members. Parents of the students of a team are expected to take on the role of Event coach for one or more topics. Students self-organize to form their own team. Time commitment expectations vary from team to team.

Registration for SO will be open from 9/6/2022 to 9/30/2022. These dates are final. To register, please email the following head coaches bmohapatra@icsptsa.org;  haiqianyu@gmail.com; manjushak@hotmail.com

with 5 events (from your category) that you are interested in by 6 PM, September 30, 2022.

Calling All ICS Parents: Sign-Up for Volunteer Opportunities 

To indicate your volunteer interests for the 2022-23 school year, please complete the Volunteer Interest Signup Form.

To access this form, you will first need to register for an ICS PTSA account (if you do not already have one), and then log-in to your account. You can create an account on the ICS PTSA website here.

Once your account is approved (for new accounts only), log in to the ICS PTSA website, and click on the word "VOLUNTEERING" at the top menu of the page, then click on sign-ups.

Returning parents: please complete the Volunteer Interest Signup Form even if you did so last fall. We do not use information from the previous year; instead, we create new volunteer lists each year with current information and preferences. Once logged-in to the website, you can access the form here.

The Volunteer Signup Form will close on September 30th. Please know that volunteers play an essential role in our ICS community! If you have any questions, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.

ICS Matching Fund Information 

Welcome to the 2022 – 2023 school year! Thank you very much to those families who have donated to the ICS PTSA. Many companies have matching gift programs that will match the donated amount, and sometimes your volunteer hours as well.  

For questions regarding your company's programs, please contact your employer's HR or community giving department. Much of the necessary information may also be available on your company's intranet. Microsoft and Google do matching gifts through an organization called Benevity; others do it on their own.  

Requesting a matching gift or volunteer grant is normally a five-minute process that must be initiated by you or your spouse, the donor/volunteer. You can do this by filling out and submitting through an electronic submission process or a paper match form provided by your employer.  

Please submit your donation matching to International Community School PTSA 2 8 89 [Tax ID/EIN Number: 911801111].  

If your company needs a donation receipt, you can send a receipt request to ICS PTSA treasurers at (treasurer@icsptsa.org).

ICS LOGOWEAR ONLINE STORE NOW OPEN

We are excited to announce that the Logowear Online Store is now open! Order your spirit gear using this link and be sure to put your child's name on the order especially if you choose to pick up at school. The online store is open for a limited time only until September 30th, so get yours before it's too late. Samples for the sizes, materials and styles are available at the student services office. Orders will arrive at the end of October. If you choose "pick-up" as your shipping option, your order will be delivered to ICS.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.

ASB Cards

ASB cards for 2022/2023 payments are $35.00. The funds are used for ASB events such as school dances, hot cocoa, ice cream socials, and assemblies with guest speakers. Online payments can be made here. Follow directions to login. Checks, cash, or credit card payment can be made at ICS.

Yearbooks

The ICS yearbook team is creative and dedicated to cover all aspects and events of the school community. Yearbooks are $50.00. You can prepay for yearbooks now here. Follow directions to login. Checks, cash, or credit card payment can be made at ICS.
