For several years Sports Today photographer Rich Yee has delighted our readers with his extraordinary sports autographs (over 100) and we have marveled at the dedication and resolve needed to build such a collection. Rich's galaxy seems endless -- lucky us --
and below is how it all began.
"Not many people know how I got started collecting autographs. Benson Fong, my uncle, was an actor who made films with Humphrey Bogart, Betty Davis,
Gregory Peck, John Wayne, Elvis…
"When I was five years old, he took me to a hotel in Los Angeles and introduced me to Elvis. They both signed the photo above from the movie, Girls, Girls, Girls. That was my first autograph and I’ve been collecting ever since. Uncle Benson passed away in 1987. Here are some of the films Benson appeared in."
