During this first week, we focus on the call to Family, Community and Participation. Our God is Trinity, three persons, one God. These three persons are in constant relationship with each other. Being created in the image of God, we too need to be in relationships. Each human person is not only sacred but also social. We must recognize and cherish the gift of belonging to our immediate family and wider family; the Church and society. The Church teaches that in order to fully belong to a family and community, participation is essential. We encourage you to ensure you and your family are registered to vote. Get informed and educated about the candidates and issues on the ballot. Our community calls us to participate not just for our own needs but for the larger whole of society. Voting is an actionable way to love and a tool to cultivate community.

Miscarriage Support Gift
You and Your Baby Are Not Forgottten

Are you or someone you know grieving from a recent miscarriage? This difficult grieving process has moved the heart of a parishioner to create several miscarriage support totes filled with many wonderful items to help grieving mothers find comfort and healing in Christ through this wonderful and generous gift! Every life matters...every-single-one!

If you or someone you know has recently miscarried and could use a prayer-filled gift specific to help grieving parents, please reach out to Mary Lauterbach or Bonnie Prine at the parish office.

The Vandalia-Butler Food Pantry is partnering up with several area churches and asking each to donate certain items. St. Christopher Parish has been asked to cover the need for spaghetti and spaghetti sauce.

If you are willing to donate spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, or any other non-perishable goods, please bring your donations to the church and place them on the carts located near the front and back entrances.
The 40 Days for Life campaign is about to begin: Sept. 23rd - Nov. 1st. We invite you to come out to the sidewalk in front of 1401 E. Stroop Rd. in Kettering to pray for the moms, dads, babies, and workers who are entering the abortion facility. There are so many other options available to moms and you are a sign of hope & love when you are present.  The vigil runs daily between the hours of 7am until 7pm, and we are asking for just 1 hour of your time.  Please give prayerful consideration in light of our call to stewardship and the giving of our time, talent, and treasures. As often is the case, the giving of our time blesses both those we serve and ourselves.
