Wednesday Night Supper begins this week, Sept. 13, with Taco Salad and Brownie Special on the menu. It begins at 5:15 and goes until about 6:00. Suggested donation is $10/plate or $5/half plate, but please just pay as you can - we'd love to see you there!

Coming Sunday

Pastor Emily Carroll brings the message "Welcome Hopes" on Sunday, Sept. 17. All are welcome to join us for worship at 8:00 and 9:15 (traditional) and 11:30 (contemporary), with the two later services livestreamed on our YouTube channel. It is 3rd Grade Bible Sunday, and also the first week for Sacred Circle Time for our littlest ones.

The Joyce Collajezzi Memorial Blessing of the Animals will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at St. John in the east parking lot. Pets of all species are welcome.

New emergency aid

Naloxone, an opiate antidote, is now available over the counter. And, it can be found in our Triangle Room next to the AED for use in an emergency. 

First UMC needs your (gently used) tools

First UMC is working on building maintenance projects around the church and is in need of some tools to help get the job done. If you have any of the following tools in good, working condition that you can donate, please bring them to the office and let us put them to work fixing up the church!

$10,000 Possibility Grant

The $10,000 Possibility Grant invites you to imagine what is possible in the community of Alaska. What good can happen? Whose lives can be touched? How can we be faithful witnesses to the transforming power of God in our community? We are seeking to partner with organizations that empower people, enrich lives, promote health, and strengthen community. With this grant we hope to help make your project possible, as we strive to inspire blessing, community, justice, and peace in Alaska. Find the application here. Deadline is Oct. 6.

Craft Fair registration

The Cameroon Task Force is now accepting registrations for artists for the 2023 St. John Craft Fair. Forms are available in the church office or can be found online here. The St. John Craft Fair, which benefits the Cameroon mission, is Saturday, Oct. 28.
