A Collect of Remembrance
Gracious and merciful God, we remember the terrible acts against humanity that the world has suffered and especially those in our country on this day twenty years ago. We pray for the innocent victims and their families. We pray also that those whose hearts are filled with hate might be turned toward love. Help us not to speak or act rashly, but fill our hearts with passion for those in need and strengthen our wills that we may do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before you. Amen.

Collect For The Week

O God, because without you we are not able to please you, mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Well Being

Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above...
James 1:17

This week we kick off our new stewardship theme, "Every Perfect Gift" This year we have the opportunity to reflect on the gifts we have received and the gifts we will share. Sunday our Stewardship co-chair, Rita Verespy, will speak about what she has been given and is called to share at St. Mary's as a member and new leader. I am thankful for Rita as one of the gifts God has brought into our midst. Jennifer+
LISTEN UP

"And The Glory of The Lord", Isaiah 40:5, set to chorus by Handel in his majestic "Messiah" oratorio is in reference to Christ as the Glory that 'all flesh shall see together'. We do well, not just at Christmastide, but at any time of the year to contemplate that Glory in its many forms as it may present itself. Here that powerful chorus is offered by The Brussels Choral.

To share your special piece here , simply send the music's title or YouTube link to [email protected].

Do you need groceries, errands or help with something else?

Contact the head of our Pastoral Care Team, Pauline Davis. There are many people who can help.  Her email address is here. You may also phone her at 401-871-1453, but she would prefer an email if you are able.

Results and Looking Forward Announcement

Thanks to the generous food donations left at our services and at the Parish House, St. Mary's has contributed 914 pounds of nourishing food and sundries to the Martin Luther King Center Food Pantry from January through May of this year. Donations for May increased by a third over those the previous month! Please continue to bring non-perishable foods to donate as you come for Sunday worship, or leave them in the baskets in the entry to the Parish House. Salt-free or low salt canned goods are especially needed, but all foods are both much needed and welcome! A team of St. Mary's member volunteers continues to make weekly deliveries of donations collected to the food pantry.

Thank you for all your generous contributions.
Jonathan Edwards
