Transforming; Welcoming our LGBTQIA2S+ Siblings

Tuesday, September 17 & 24, October 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 7pm—8pm on Zoom.

As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, this is a great opportunity for our St. Luke community to better welcome the LGBTQIA2S+ community. 

The zoom forum/class will use the book, Transforming, The Bible and the Lives of Transgender Christians, by Austen Hartley. It will be a resource to further our understanding of transgender people. 

We will cover: 

· A review of LGBTQIA2S+ terminology as it relates to gender and orientation. 

· What does scriptural creation say about transgender individuals? 

· How does the cultural Christian leadership deal with transgender? 

This zoom class will have 6 sessions, with 3-4 guests who are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ that can provide an opportunity for candid discussion. Join us as we learn to be better allies and welcomers even if we don’t have all the answers.  For more information, please contact Dean Gustafson at deangustafson@mac.com.
