"Name Changes"

One of the more common corporate actions we come across, which sometimes generates questions about valuations, is name changes.

For example, Ingersoll-Rand PLC changed its name to Trane Technologies PLC on March 2, 2020. Additionally, the corresponding CUSIP number changed from G47791101 to G8994E103. If you used the original CUSIP number for a valuation date after March 2, the new CUSIP and name would be returned and included on the valuation.
