Church Business Meeting, September 30, 9:45 a.m.
Our regular Business Meeting will be held in Room 317. We will receive committee reports, and the Leadership Council Nominating Committee will present 2 candidates for approval, (The deadline for other nominations for presentation at the September Business meeting was September 9.) and the Deacon Nominating Committee will present their slate of deacons. If you have an item for the Business Meeting, please submit it to the church office or a member of Leadership Council by September 16.
Children's Ministry Sunday Mornings
We are excited to be partnering with City on a Hill Church for Children's Sunday School. Together we'll be experiencing The Gospel Project for Kids. Children (preschool through grade 5) will meet for classes on the second floor at 9:30 AM each Sunday to discover how the big story of the Bible centers kids on the Gospel. Sunday school for children will run from 9:30-10:15 AM, followed by Chimes from 10:15 - 10:45 AM, also on the second floor. Please come join us!

They use both words and deeds to express Christian care for others - listening and comforting, calling on the training they have received and employing the tools of faith. Baptism and Biscuits ! Saturday, September 22, 9:00-10:30 a.m.

Allie Thompson Remembrance
Charles Allie Thompson was lynched in Culpeper County in 1918. A coalition of community groups are coming together to sponsor two events that Antioch Baptist and CBC will host. September 24, 7:00-8:30 PM in the Sanctuary, there will be a screening of the film “An Outrage,” which was directed by two CCHS graduates and has received a number of awards. On November 17 we will convene in the sanctuary to remember and reflect on the impact of Allie Thompson’s death for his family and our community.

Senior Game Day—September 27 - Let’s play games, board games. Meet at 2:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.

Story Ropes:  We're excited to announce that Story Ropes will be part of our pastoral ministry opportunities this year as we discover more about 'stories' and how we can meet God where He is at work. Gather folks from your dinner groups, work teams, places you volunteer, family... contact Sara today to set a date for your special event.
Memory Boxes:  Grief is a wave of emotion that comes and goes like the sea. During this season, we like to provide further pastoral support. A Memory Box workshop will be offered in October and November to make room for the special memories and often unspoken feelings we carry during the holidays. Join Sara and Amanda Sunday, October 21, 2-4 p.m. at the new Art & Spirit Barn Studio CBC helped create at Verdun Adventure Bound .
