Message from your Parish Admin
Dear Friends,

Rev. Paula has been very busy juggling multiple priorities -- dealing with our insurance company, coordinating with the companies handling our professional clean-up services, while also planning for our upcoming ministries. To say it's been a busy, chaotic two weeks is an understatement. But work is progressing and we are planning to return to our space on October 3rd. Until then, Rev. Paula would love to see you at Christ Church on the 19th and 26th.

Rev. Paula would also like to invite you to join her and the "Walk in Love" Team in supporting our partner ministries, Cross Roads and Family Promise Essex County, with their fundraising events next month. Please read the next section of this newsletter, "Community Outreach" for details.

As we welcome Grace Savoia-DiGregorio as our new Children's Chapel & Youth Group Coordinator, we ask for all families with school-aged children to complete our quick, 5-question online survey. Your input will be beneficial in planning a fun and faith-filled program year.

Hurricane Ida's flooding has been destructive and disruptive, but we continue to live our faith as best we can, continue to share God's love as best we can, and continue to help each other in any way that we can.

Stay well. Stay blessed.

Our flood damage remediation is still in progress!

Service on Sunday, September 19th is canceled, but we will keep you updated when we can safely enter and resume service inside St. Stephen's. At this time we anticipate our return on October 3rd.

For the meantime, Christ Church in Short Hills has graciously extended their invitation to join them for worship. Rev. Paula will be there again this Sunday and would love to see you in attendance as well.

If you cannot attend in person, please do enjoy the service on Christ Church's YouTube channel.

Should you wish to attend another service, please know that any Episcopal Church will warmly welcome you!

In challenging times like these, it is especially important for us to gather together in church, connect with God, and support and encourage one another.
