Sun Day is a day of action on the Fall Equinox celebrating the power of clean energy. Solar, wind and batteries are the cheapest form of power on the planet, lowering costs, creating new jobs, and strengthening our communities. Dayspring is part of a coalition hosting this Valleywide event in our Fellowship Hall this Sunday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. We’ll celebrate the progress we’ve made and provide ideas on how you can take part. Dayspring member Dr. Clark Miller, ASU’s Associate Director for Faculty and Professor for ASU’s School for the Future of Innovation in Society, will be among the experts on hand to answer questions. Together, let’s make the sun rise on our clean energy future.

United Women in Faith meet Thursday, September 25, at 7:00 p.m. in the Palo Verde Room. Join Dayspring UWFaith for fellowship and to hear Maureen Rojas speak about Dayspring's S.A.G.E. goals and activities. S.A.G.E (Spiritual Activists Greening the Earth) is a part of Arizona Power and Light (AZIPL) by which interested congregations may qualify as Cool Congregations. Visitors and prospective members are welcome

We host our annual Flu Shot Clinic on Sunday, September 28 from 8:30-11:30 in Room 112. You do not need to be a member of Dayspring to participate. Costs vary, depending on insurance. Immunizations for persons age 4 and over. No appointment necessary.

We will collect non-perishable items (no glass containers please) for our neighbors through Tempe Community Action Agency next Sunday, September 28. Donations may be left on the benches at the front gate to be collected and delivered to TCAA following Sunday's services. Please make sure the food is not past its expiration date. You're warmly invited to our next monthly Taizé Service on Sunday, September 28, at 4:00 p.m.

Volunteers Needed for Sunday School

(2 Assistants)

We’re looking for two assistant volunteers for Sunday School on Sunday, September 28th from 10:00–11:00am. Assistants support the Sunday School teachers and help the class run smoothly.

What assistants do:

• Welcome kids and help with check-in
• Assist during lessons, supplies, and crafts
• Encourage participation in activities
• Quick tidy-up at the end

🌟 Join us for BeTween!

Our BeTween group for 4th–6th graders kicked off last night, and it was such a joy to see their energy and excitement for the year ahead! While games and fun are always part of our evenings, what stood out most was how eager the kids are to serve. They’re already looking forward to the October car wash to raise money for Christmas presents for families in need, as well as November’s food drive.

BeTween is more than a midweek program—it’s a fun, faith-filled space where preteens feel seen, supported, and empowered as they begin to take ownership of their faith journey. Through games, lessons, and service projects, kids learn how to live out their faith in ways that make a real difference.

👉 We’d love for your 4th-6th grader to join us each Wednesday from 6:45–7:30pm.

For many years, Dayspring has supported Arizona ONE Community’s Spotlight on Success Local Heroes Luncheon by providing volunteers on the day of the event. This year’s luncheon will be held on Friday, October 17, from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix.

The luncheon honors individuals and organizations advancing workplace equality and equal treatment in housing, the workforce, and public accommodations.
