Imagine this statistic: in 2018, the proportion of persons with disabilities employed was 19.1%, whereas persons without disabilities had an employment rate of 65.9%. An astounding statistic! The Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities wants to change that. A "Workability Hearing" will be held on Oct 22 (10:30AM-1:00PM) at the State House, Room B1. Individuals and organizations can testify with suggestions and strategies to increase employment. Contact sub-committee Chair Josh Cutler's aide for more info - Cole.Angley@mahouse.gov.

The Arc celebrates Gann Academy students who located identities of individuals buried in MetFern
High school is a time of friends, drama, and academia – sometimes resembling those seen in TV shows. But it’s not often the case that you spend those years uncovering the history of nameless graves in your local town.
The Arc’s health care priority legislation, including Operation House Call, is being heard in front of the Joint Committee on Public Health on Tuesday, September 24 at 1:00PM in Meeting Room A2 at the Massachusetts State House.
Participants will learn about philosophies on inclusion, tips for accessing community recreation, understanding different program models, overcoming barriers, and exploring benefits.
The work of The Arc of Massachusetts is made possible by generous donations from people like you, friend. None of our advocacy, education, and outreach would be possible without your continued support. Please consider giving today.
