✨ What a Blessing! VAA’s Innovation Lab Grand Opening ✨
Last Saturday evening was truly a blessing as we celebrated the grand opening of VAA’s Innovation Lab! 💡 We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support this exciting milestone for our school.
A special thank you to Makayla Castillo, one of Mrs. Holland’s former students and now a junior at an art school in Baltimore, for painting the stunning mural that brings the lab to life. 🎨 Her talent and dedication are unmatched, and we are beyond grateful for the time and love she poured into this project.
We were also honored by the presence of Potomac Conference President Charles Tapp and his wife, Maureen; Educational Specialist Superintendent Juwel Watson, Makayla’s parents Kara and Richard Castillo, and Takoma Academy’s Academic Specialist Shemika Campbell, who joined us in celebrating this momentous occasion.
This Innovation Lab will be a hub of creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking where students will learn to innovate, create, and develop real-world solutions that make a difference. 🚀
Classes begin Tuesday—watch our students shine as they explore coding, 3D printing, engineering, and so much more! 🌟
