HSC, Partners Help Desi End Three Years of Homelessness

Desi, who lives with a disability and uses a wheelchair, experienced homelessness for nearly three years.

During that time, she utilized several services on the Campus and stayed at CASS off and on. Recently, HSC staff collaborated with multiple partners and found housing for Desi at Memorial Towers, an affordable rental community for seniors. Desi’s new home is designed to accommodate her disability. In addition, HSC Staff were able to furnish her entire apartment through the Flex Fund program and assist her in setting up the whole space set up to feel like home.

Desi’s journey demonstrates the power of collaboration. Her smile says, “I am home.”
