Planned System Outage
Kentucky Housing Corporation's (KHC) document upload feature within the loan reservation system will be disabled from 7 - 10 p.m. ET today, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, for scheduled maintenance.
Labor Day Holiday Hours
KHC will be closed Monday, September 7, 2020, in honor of Labor Day, and will reopen at 8 a.m. ET Tuesday, September 8, 2020. There will be no loan purchases or closings for Third-Party Originating (TPO) lenders on this day. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
Form 4506-T Reminder
KHC requires that all closed loan files have a completed Form 4506-T (Request for Transcript of Tax Return). Please ensure that these forms are completed fully and accurately.
COVID-19 Investor Updates
The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) published Mortgagee Letter (ML) 2020-28 on August 28, 2020, extending the effective date of Mortgagee Letter 2020-05 published on March 27, 2020.
  • The extension of Appraisal guidance in Mortgagee Letter 2020-05 is effective immediately for appraisal inspections completed on or before October 31, 2020.
  • The extension of re-verification of employment guidance in Mortgagee Letter 2020-05 is effective immediately for cases closed on or before October 31, 2020.
USDA announced they are extending the temporary exceptions originally issued on March 27, 2020, until November 30, 2020, pertaining to appraisals, repair inspections, and income verifications for the Single Family Guaranteed Loan Program.
 
Fannie Mae updated both LL-2020-03: Impact of COVID-19 on Originations and LL-2020-04: Impact of COVID-19 on Appraisals to extend application dates to September 30, 2020, for the temporary flexibilities, and extend several other requirements until further notice.
Multi-Factor Authentication
KHC's new Loan Origination System (LOS), PowerLender, will have an enhanced security feature, multi-factor authentication (MFA). Rather than just asking for a username and password, MFA will require an additional code to help identify the user. During the login process the user will be prompted to enter a code, received via email, to validate their identity. This process will be repeated every 30 days on private computers. Please add the sender's domain @kyhousing.powerlender.com to your safe senders list to ensure the MFA code does not go to your spam folder.
