September Mission Challenge
For the month of September, we are collecting money to help provide warm winter items for our neighbors at South Street Ministries. Our goal is to collect $1500! Money can be put in offering plates with "Monthly Mission" in the memo line or by clicking here.
Meal at South Street Ministries - We need your help!
As part of our monthly Mission, we will be serving a meal at South Street Ministry on September 29th. We need your help! Please click here to sign up to contribute supplies for the meal and/or to help serve the meal. All items need to be dropped off at the church by September 27th. Please label items "South Street Ministry".
Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month and we will be celebrating on October 11th in church. We invite everyone to send or bring in a note for Pastor Kim and for Jen to let them know how you appreciate everything that they do for our church family and we ask that you lift them up in prayer all month long. SPRC will put together gifts for both of them, so if you would like to contribute you can mark the memo line for Pastor Appreciation by October 4th or click here.
College Care Packages
Calling all college students and parents of college students! We would love to show our college students that their church family is still here for them even if they are away at college or in the military. Young adulthood can often be a time of great change and transition and so it is important for those in that stage of life to know that their church family is supporting and uplifting them.
If you have a student that is either in college or the military, please email the office with their name, mailing address, and a picture of them by October 14th.
Become a Preschool Pen Pal!
Our preschool is beginning a pen pal program for the school year, and we would love members of our church family to volunteer! Each pen pal will be matched with one of our 9 preschool students to share cheerful notes, encouragement, smiles, and friendship. Pen Pals are warmly invited to celebrate and make memories together at events: Harvest Party, Christmas Party, Easter Party and our Graduation Festivities. If you are interested, email the Preschool Director Nicole Korach or fill out this form and return it to the office. Thank you for helping our preschool friendships grow!
New Member Class
Join us in learning about the United Methodist Church and how you fit in at MZUMC at a new member class with Pastor Kim. The new member class will be held after worship on November 1, 8 and 15 in the blue room. A light lunch will be provided. Those wishing to join will join on November 22 in worship. Please sign up by e-mailing Pastor Kim or complete the signup sheet on the welcome center.
Acme Community CashBack Has Begun
The Acme Community CashBack program has begun! Please save any receipts dated after August 1, 2025 and put them in the collection bin by the welcome center. Last year we earned approx. $235 for the church!
Women's Luncheon
Our next luncheon will be at noon on Wednesday, October 14, at Red Lobster in Montrose. Red Lobster wants an earlier head count than we usually have, and we will need your reservation by the end of the day on Monday, October 5. You can call or text Nancy at (330)814-4081.
