Everywhere a Fest!
And so it begins. OFest season! Two great ones this Sunday. Victoria Czech Heritage Day not only has great food and entertainment, the Victoria Czechs want you to learn some stuff as well. You'll find lessons in accordion and tarok playing. Plus all youth are invited to a Czech sing-along, sponsored by Texas Polka News. Enjoy the music by Shelia Lee, Shiner Hobos, Majek's Orchestra, and Red Ravens. New this year is the addition of a fourth band - Los Kolaches, sponsored by Texas Polka News, will play in the community center annex from 2-6 pm.

Over in Serbin, which is 5 miles southwest of Giddings, the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum & St. Paul Lutheran Church will celebrate the 30th Annual Wendish Fest. English and German church services, spectacular meal, heritage demonstrations, and that coffee cake bake-off. The Moravians will provide the music in the afternoon.
