October is not only a busy time for our crew to pick pears, but it's also a bustling time to sample and purchase our Asian Pears.  We will be sampling and/or selling our pears during the 5K Expo (10/6), the 5K Classic (10/7), and the Open Gate Tour (10/15). On 10/13 during Sunrise Chef show on WFMZ, three new delicious dishes featuring our pears will be created by Dietitian/Nutritionist students from Cedar Crest College, Allen Center for Nutrition.  

These  healthful dishes will also be demonstrated live by the culinary students during your stop at Subarashii during The Open Gate Tour.  And while visiting Subarashii during Open Gate, enjoy a guided tour of our orchard, learn a little about farming, sample our varieties of pears, purchase fresh pears and other offerings from our Open Gate farm stand, and enjoy a beautiful Autumn day. Recently, we popped-up with our pear farmstand at Lehigh Valley International Airport. Travelers and visitors enjoyed sampling and shopping for Asian Pears on a sunny afternoon in their spacious main terminal.   A wonderful departure from the norm.
