HONies TOP TEN TIPS
:
1. Stitch the white first.
2. Wash hands before stitching, do not apply
hand cream.
3. Use stretcher bars.
4. Find missed stitches by
holding up to the light.
5. Get up to stretch and
hour.
6. Travel with a headlamp
for better lighting and extra
needles in your coin purse.
7. Let your needle dangle
periodically to maintain the
proper twist of the fiber
.
8. Roll canvas, do not fold.
9. Save fiber tags with piece of
yarn attached.
10. DON'T sweat the small
stuff, a missed stitch or
mistake adds uniqueness.

Create Your Own
This background stitch (used in pillow pictured below) is three rows of horizontal, diagonal long stitches, over 2 rows, followed by a fourth line that's over 3 rows. It works up quickly and gives a textured, corduroy like, effect.
