Elsewhere Around Town

On Tues., 9/11 during Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, members of
Temple Beth Avodah of Newton have a Tashlich ceremony where they read poems and share thoughts about rededicating themselves to making better choices in the new year. At the end of the service, they toss crumbs into the water, symbolizing the purging of our sinful habits and striving to be the best people possible. It is a family time, and children have fun feeding the ducks, having shed "temple clothes" for more comfortable and casual attire. Tashlich will take place on 9/11 at 4 pm on the banks of the Charles River at the Dolan Recreation Center in Dedham. All are welcome.
Cow Flappin' -
