LAKER E-FFECT
CAMPUS NEWS
The public is invited to visit the Arts Center Gallery at Lake Superior State University to enjoy "Painting Wildness," an exhibition of 27 paintings by award-winning artist Heidi A. Marshall during the months of September and October. LSSU is hosting a Meet the Artist event Thurs. Oct. 4, from 5:30pm - 7pm in the LSSU Arts Center Gallery before the Backtrack Vocals Concert in the Arts Center on Thurs. Oct. 4 at 7pm.    
 
 
Infrastructure upgrades at LSSU have begun. Upgrades throughout the 41-building campus - such as new roofing, lighting, and upgraded heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) systems - should be completed by winter 2020.

Greg Nichols '00, head brewer for Smoketown Brewing Station, recently won a gold medal from the Brewers Association of Maryland for the Maryland Rye IPA.





Jason Pietrantonio '98 is the owner of a landscaping company, Second Nature Landscaping in Kingsford, Mich. Second Nature Landscaping offers service in planting, designing patios, retaining walls, timber steps, waterfalls, outdoor fireplaces, barbecues, walkways, driveways and irrigations systems.

LSSU's Fall Open House is set for Sat. Sept. 29, 10am-6pm. Prospective students and their families can come and see the exciting initiatives going on around campus. Meet with faculty, current students, ask questions to Admissions recruiters, learn about financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and tour campus.
