Support the VOS 2019 Conference With Your Abstracts and Attendance!

Dear VOS members,

The summer is almost done here in the northern hemisphere - and I bet everyone is dreaming of beautiful crisp, cool, clear, powder filled days in the mountains. Imagine the fantastic snow and skiing weather in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado, February 9-16, 2019, for the 46th annual VOS meeting!

But it takes more than the best snow in the world to make the VOS meeting - we need your research and reports to make this meeting. Veterinarians don't have the NIH to solve our toughest problems - so we depend on YOU to share your research at the VOS meeting. We invite everyone to submit their abstracts by October 1, 2018. Submit your case series and clinical experience, basic science research, benchtop work, and clinical research studies. Orthopedics in any species is fair game. Abstracts are presented as posters or 10-minute podium presentations. Your work makes this meeting diverse and cutting edge!

Dr. Jennifer Warnock Another great reason to plan to attend this year's meeting is to meet the next generation of surgeons. Support our Surgery Residents in the Mark Bloomberg Resident Awards presentations to see the latest in orthopedic research. The Mark Bloomberg Awards are given to residents presenting excellent research and support their travel to the VOS meeting. How many of us can trace our beginnings to this meeting, with its many formal and informal opportunities to share our experiences and discoveries?

Well, time to get back to the OR - a stifle scope awaits! May all your cases be interesting and your days end on time ...

Communications Chair
