Consider volunteering at NCHS this year. There is something for everyone!

Dear NCHS Family,

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back to another successful year at New Canaan High School. NCHS continues to be one of the best high schools in the state and it is an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of such an outstanding institution.

This promises to be a year filled with wonderful opportunities for all of our students as we strive to find ways to be even better than we have before! We embark on this journey with a pledge to you, our students and parents, that this will be a year of engaging, meaningful and rigorous work in our classrooms, combined with special events and numerous extracurricular clubs and activities, performing arts groups, and athletic teams certain to encourage our Rams to be involved and stay connected!

Our staff of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel is committed to providing our students many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. We invite and encourage students and parents to work in partnership with us.

There have been a few updates in our effort to beautify the school. The all-weather running track is finished and is ready for use and the gymnasium floor has been sanded and painted. As you pull into the school please notice the beautiful new landscaping on the Farm Road side of the building, courtesy of the PFA. All of this would not be possible without the hard work of our facilities and maintenance staff and our wonderful administrative assistants. The building looks great and we are ready to have our students filling the hallways with energy and enthusiasm for learning.

Finally, we will continue to communicate regularly and effectively with the entire school community. We look forward to a very positive and productive year together. We extend a special, yearlong invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible. We are fortunate and thankful to have such a strong partnership with our New Canaan High School parents.

I look forward to meeting you at our PFA Networking Meetings and many of our school events.

Have a great year!

Sincerely,

Mr. William D. Egan
Principal

NCHS Athletic Department
A Letter from our Athletic Director
Welcome back! The beginning of school and the fall sports season is the most exciting time of the school year. The fall competitive season begins on September 6th, with over 600 NCHS students participating in athletics. This summer has been an extremely busy time in the athletic department. The installation of the high school track surface was completed. Our track is the same surface utilized by schools like Harvard and MIT. The main gym floor was also resurfaced and new scoreboards were installed.

We also have two major and exciting announcements — tickets sales have gone online and every game that is held on Dunning Field and in the main gym will be streamed live!

The department will be utilizing  GoFan.com  for students, booster members, sponsors, and other fans to redeem or purchase tickets. Day-of tickets will also be available at the box office. Please check your email next week for instructions on how to redeem or purchase tickets this season. Links will also be available on our website  ncrams.com .

Not able to make the game? With our new streaming video system, Pixellot, all games on Dunning and in the main gym will be shown on the NFHS Broadcasting network. We will offer seasonal and yearly subscriptions to access the NFHS network. The All Sport Booster Club has made the investment in the necessary hardware to bring this program to NCHS. Approximately 45 games per season will be available for purchase. Parents, grandparents, and all sports fans can now watch the Rams from afar! Specific details of the streaming will be available next week. We will be sending details about our streaming program and electronic ticket sales to all families via email.

Please call the athletic office at 203-594-4639 if you have any questions.

Go Rams!
