September 2018
I'm driven to travel by the desire to meet people. That I know. Social by nature, I often find that meeting and taking people "pics" is my thing. This is one of my favorites from my trip to China back in 2006 along the Yangtse. The universal language of hand gestures and smiles was all that was needed to communicate and eventually capture this.
Travelling out of your comfort zone not only allows you to see the places you have dreamed of, it also offers you opportunities to share unique conversations, food, and cultures that creates a truly fulfilling trip.
Here are some handpicked tours and cruises that combine the beauty of the local culture with adventure in various stunning locations.

Dragons and Orangutans Sailing Adventure
I ndonesia has a lot to boast about. It offers some of the world's best
diving, being the worlds largest archipelago spanning over 5000 kms, with a population consisting of over 200 ethnic groups, speaking more than 300 languages. Not to mention the unique flora, fauna, endemic birds and wildlife.
This 12 day adventure combines two iconic creatures of Indonesia; the Orangutans and Komodo Dragons. Included in the mix are encounters with Proboscis monkeys, tropical birds, manta rays, fascinating cultures, tropical jungles, and snorkeling among the spectacular coral reefs of Indonesia, on both riverboat and traditional pinisi sailing craft.
This truly is a trip to excite all the senses and tick so many boxes - not least experiencing the mighty 'man of the forest', the Orangutan .

French Polynesia and Easter Island
This special voyage begins in the southeastern most island of the Polynesian triangle, Easter Island. You will travel to the historically significant Pitcairn Islands through the “low islands” of the Tuamotu Archipelago to Tahiti, visiting islands that are virtually inaccessible and untouched en route. Walk the length of postcard tropical beaches, meet the descendants of H.M.S.  Bounty  mutineers, and drift dive or snorkel through an atoll pass.
Add to that the fact that the ship's National Geographic expedition team include veteran naturalists well-versed in the flora, fauna and human history of the South Pacific
