Welcome Back! Our school year is now in full swing as we welcomed back our tigers with a Hollywood theme: Setting the stage for success...where every Tiger is a star! We look forward to celebrating successes with you and watching our students grow this year!
Last fall and early winter, families had the opportunity to take an online 5 Essentials Survey to help us improve our school. We had a 29% response rate through posting it on Facebook, the district website, all call reminders, and placing a link in this newsletter. The parent survey asked about school satisfaction, volunteering/participating in events, and preferred communication methods to name a few areas. The results were very positive overall! We will be participating again this year, so watch for the information, as we value your feedback.
Wills Chiropractic office is sponsoring a School Staff Superstar contest this year. Anyone can nominate any school staff member for this weekly award. We have nomination forms in our office or you can stop by Wills Chiropractic.
Just a few reminders as we begin the year. We ask for your patience with our parking situation. We have limited places to park, we know. We can allow drop offs in the morning in our teacher lot, however, we block that off in the afternoon as it needs to be a bus stop and we have many more students walking through that area with our student crossing guard in the afternoon. Also, please, please do not stop in the middle of the street to let students out. It blocks traffic and creates a very unsafe situation for our students exiting the vehicles. Please pass this information on to anyone dropping off or picking your students up. Lastly, we have 16 students to supervise on the kindergarten playground as they wait for their bus. It is a small playground, so we ask that you wait until 3:10 to let your students play on that playground. You are welcome to walk them around to play on the main playground in a larger place during this 2:55-3:10 time frame.
We are excited for some fun events this month! Our Fannie May Fundraiser usually does really well and helps PTO help us provide field trips, new equipment, and fun assemblies, etc. for our students. Our PTO Fun Fair is a great family carnival event, so we hope you can come join us. We are welcoming Grandparents and any other Grand people in our students lives for a Grand Lunch at the end of September!
Again, welcome to a new and exciting school year!
Here is the menu for September:
