Opening Sept. 5:
Flourish!
The Seacoast Moderns

The artists of the Seacoast Moderns present their new art show, "Flourish," opening on September 5th and on display until October 13th at the Kittery Art Association. Come see the original artwork of nine different artists working in multiple media and varying styles in this exciting show. All KAA members and friends are invited to the opening reception on Sunday, September 8th from 4-6 p.m.

The opening reception is a great time to see the exhibit, run into friends, meet the artists and find out about the work and vision of this subset of the Kittery Art Association artists!

Did you know?  This year is  The Seacoast Moderns'  NINTH year making and showing art together! Although the group numbers have fluctuated over time, there has been a core group that has been together all nine years. Interested artists (who are also members of KAA) are invited to come visit during a regular monthly meeting (third Wednesday of the month). Contact Karen Camlin for meeting particulars and/or more information about this group.

Homework:  What themes would you like to see for our 2020 exhibits???

What do These Items Have in Common?

Answer:  They are in the display cases at KAA!

At Kittery Art Association, art is even more than the wonderful works we hang on the walls and perch on our pedestals.  Do you know the items in the upstairs card racks and both the upstairs and downstairs display cases are frequently rotated, refreshed, renewed?

Don't forget to take a closer look the next time you stop by 8 Coleman Avenue - you might see just the perfect treat for you rself or gift for a special someone!
Thank You, KSB!

The Kittery Art Association recently received a generous donation from the Kennebunk Savings Bank.  Support from our members and our sponsors  keeps us going, and we are so grateful for this recognition of the importance of art in the local community!

Plein Air 2017
Join us en plein air!

The 2019 en plein air schedule is winding down.... waaaahhhh!

The last-scheduled gathering, from 4-7pm on Thursday afternoon, September 5, will be at the home of KAA vice president Deborah Cotter, 13 Waterside Lane, South Berwick, ME

Can you give us one hour on one evening?

Happenings at the gallery are so vital to our vibrant presence in the area.  Think of the times you've enjoyed the energy, art, connection and general good time at a KAA opening reception or concert.  Well, we need some volunteers to help with these events - especially staying to do some clean-up afterward.

If you can help, even one time this year, for an opening reception or a concert, please call the gallery or click this link to email our volunteer coordinator extraordinaire, board member Beth Newkirk.

Thank you!!

Dinghies, Jennifer Novelli
Denise MacLatchy and Jennifer Novelli are excited to be showing their plein air paintings at the Beach Pea Café in September and October. Our medias are different, Denise uses oils and Jen uses acrylics,
