Jill (Dolphin) Leonard '98 recently completed the Marquette half-marathon. That's 13.1 miles, in case you're counting. And this from a woman who used to dread the one-mile timed run during basketball practice.Read the whole story. Jill played basketball for LSSU.
Scott Collins '08 landed a faculty position at Texas Techwhere he is continuing to do great work in freshwater science. Since graduating from LSSU Scott completed his PhD at Idaho State and a post-doc in Illinois working on Asian carp. Go, Scott!

LSSU hockey vs. Michigan Wolverines October 18-19 & pre-game social Oct. 19
Laker hockey is playing two games at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor October 18-19. U of M has not yet established the game times, but tickets are available
online hereonly through TODAY September 30. The Alumni Association will be hosting a social for all Laker fans prior to Saturday's game at Pretzel Bell, 226 S Main St in Ann Arbor. Let us know if you plan to attend the social.
LSSU hockey vs. Notre Dame October 25-26 & pre-game social Oct. 26
The Lakers will take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in South Bend October 25-26. Game time is 7:00pm Friday night and 6:00 pm Saturday. Saturday the Alumni Association will host a pre-game social at Legends of Notre Dame, starting at 4:00 pm.
