SANITATION SERVICES RODD PEMBLE, SEPT'S. GUEST SPEAKER
On T uesday, September 10, 2019 at the Cordata Presbyterian Church located at 400 Meadowbrook Court, Bellingham, WA 98226. Our first meeting for the 2019-2020 year will feature Sanitation Services Rodd Pemble as our speaker. This will be the first meeting for the 2019-2020 year, and it is a timely one, given the concern about recycling to aid in the battle against global warming and what can be done about it by ordinary citizens like us. Rodd, will talk to us about recycling and will bring examples of some items regarding recycling.

WELCOME TO THE CORDATA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The Cordata Neighborhood Association is thankful to this church for its past support of the Cordata Neighborhood by providing a place for our monthly meetings held from September to June. Thank you Cordata Neighborhood Presbyterian Church (formerly the Birchwood Presbyterian Church!) Our September meeting "kicks-off" the 2019-2020 year for your Cordata Neighborhood Association's monthly meetings. Another year of working together to constantly improve our Cordata neighborhood, and capture the hearts and actions by our elected leaders.

A REPORT ON THE CORDATA COMMUNITY GARDEN
Soon, the very successful 2019 garden season will end, and plans for next year will begin. The Garden Committee, led by Kaitlin Schanken will begin working on preparations for the 2020 Community Garden. A sneak peak at one of those plans is the building and adding 3-5 new 4ft.x 16ft. garden plots.

OUR NEW CORDATA PARK IS MATERIALIZING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES

Have you driven by the new Cordata Neighborhood Park lately? If you live in the Cordata neighborhood, it is nearly impossible not to drive by as the construction is taking place on Cordata Parkway, between Horton and Stuart. I try to take monthly pictures of the progress being made by the Strider Construction Company. Phase One of the park is on schedule for completion by years end or early 2020, and as it nears being completed it is very exciting to see the amenities of the park taking shape. Below are a few of the latest photos of the progress of the park's construction.
