Greetings!
We hope you will join us for our monthly Long Island Peer Networking Meeting
hosted by our very own
Emily Vaianella, Outreach and Training Peer Specialist, and Ralph Matalone, Peer Support Line Peer Specialist.
“Getting Involved in Peer Advocacy”
Cory Muraglio will be facilitating this workshop to allow for a discussion on how you can become involved in advocacy, work in Peer Services, and many other opportunities!
Come learn about ways to get involved in advocacy, including the Office of Mental Health’s Regional Advocacy Committee Meetings, volunteer opportunities with Dr. Pat Deegan’s Hearing Distressing Voices Training, and the Long Island RPC’s Lived Experience Workforce Group.
This workshop will allow for an open discussion on ways you could become involved, make your voice heard, & work as a change agent!

The meeting will be held
Thursday, September 19th
3:30-5:00 pm.
We will meet at the Association for Mental Health and Wellness, Pollack Center,
939 Johnson Avenue Ronkonkoma, in the cafeteria
