More than 700 members of RVA community reached in August
DEC employees did an outstanding job of connecting with community members in August! They provided 911 messages and giveaways to more than 700 adults and youth at eight community outreach events in August, including National Night Out on Aug. 6. They also promoted PulsePoint, encouraged adults to complete the
citizen survey and helped kids shop for school clothes. Thanks to everyone who helped out!
An Emergency Communications Officer recently cleared for fire dispatch, Lamonte Thomas also works toward racial wealth equality as the director of member services for the
ShineHard Family. Congratulations to Lamonte, the #IamRichmond911 honoree for July!
Congratulations to Ashley Marlow, who correctly answered 5,000 to fill in the blank for the number of radio pieces and fixed equipment that the Technology Division provides asset inventory, distribution, tracking, updates and billing for. The answer could be found on the DEC website. Ashley's entry was chosen at random from all valid entries, and she won her choice of a 128 MB USB drive, a power bank or a wireless charging pad as a prize.
