Tournament Moves Forward as New Teams are Added to the Lineup
With the ever present COVID-19 causing a new norm across the country, many high schools are putting regulations into place regarding their athletic teams in 2020-2021. Such is the case for several of the teams slated to take part in this year’s Culligan City of Palms Classic. Due to the new protocols, some of the teams will not be able to participate, necessitating the addition of other teams to the six-day event.

City of Palms Alum Taking Part in Social Justice Reform


 
As social justice issues continue to make headlines across the country some former City of Palms players, currently in the NBA, are making statements by putting their names to many of the calls for reform. 

One of them is Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum, who wowed fans at the City of Palms back in 2015 with his Chaminade Red Devils.

Hoop History: LaMelo Ball Takes the Stage




 
The Ball Brothers: A name that has become well-known the past couple of years in hoops circles around the world could become even more popular come NBA draft day in about two months. That’s when the youngest of the Balls, LaMelo, is expected to be one of the top three picks, like his brother Lonzo was just three years ago when he was selected number two to the Los Angeles Lakers.
