September Newsletter- 2020
Dear Members

Now that we are transitioning to fall and the hot summer is behind us, the golf course continues to be in fantastic shape. With cooler temperatures, the grass has greened up substantially and the superb play-ability has remained. Overall the golf maintenance staff has provided us with excellent golf course conditions the entire season. The colder chill of winter is right around the corner, so let’s get as much golf in now while the time is right.

Pasta Night is back by popular demand on Wednesday nights starting September 9th. Come out and join us as Chef Izzy prepares your Italian cuisine right in front of your eyes. It’s truly special. COVID measures will be in place to ensure safe dining. Also, the patio has been a big hit this summer even though the weather has been very hot. Now that fall is upon us and temperatures are dropping, I expect the traffic and activity on the patio to increase. Stop by and have a refreshing drink with your friends. There is no place more special than the patio overlooking the eighteenth fairway and the Missouri river.

It’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays. If your business has a holiday party every year, consider bringing it to the club.  We would love for you to be able to show off your club to your staff. No matter how big the event, we have the perfect space for you. Contact our new Event Coordinator, Tammi Granaas, to book your event now before all of the dates are gone.

And, if finding the perfect holiday gift is always a challenge, come see the Golf Shop staff. They will be able to help you find that perfect gift for your significant other.  We have a great selection of merchandise in the shop and if we don’t carry it, we will be able to place a special order for you to get that special gift for someone special. Our fall apparel features Greyson, Peter Millar, and Polo for men plus Bellyn Key and Jofit for ladies. It is a great time to use your golf shop credit before it expires on November 1st.

I would like to encourage all members to tell a friend or a neighbor about your experiences here at the club. One of the greatest sources for country clubs recruiting new members comes from existing members talking to their neighbors and friends about joining the club. Why not have them enjoy all that this club has to offer with you?

I am very proud to be your General Manager. If you would like to chat about anything, please stop by the club and see me or send me an email. I’m here for you.

Now Booking Fall Golf Lessons!
It's hard to believe that we are getting close to fall with the recent heat wave, but fall is indeed right around the corner! I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about the benefits of taking golf lessons during this time of the season. I believe that the latter part of the season is the best time to work on our golf game and try some new things. As our tournaments, leagues and event schedules wind down there is less pressure on our golf games and we are able to work on things without having a big event right around the corner. It is a great opportunity to finish the season on a strong note and have great thoughts in our minds heading into the winter. A good winter of practicing and thinking about positive ideas will ultimately lead to a stronger start in the spring and a great 2021 season. With less on all of our schedules this time of year and great weather to look forward to, our professional staff would love the opportunity to help get your game headed in the right direction to finish the year on a high note!

I am very grateful for the support of the membership in my first season here at Dakota Dunes. I look forward to working with many of you this Fall!
