September 15 | 6 pm - 7:30 pm AIACV: Architecture Matters Design Forum: Responsive Resilient Residential (1.5 LU) The evening of discussion will be centered on residential projects that are responsive to their environment, either as a way of fitting in or being resilient to nature’s forces.

September 16| 6 pm - 7:30 pm Overview of Engineered Wood Products (1 LU) With the expanding choice and use of engineered wood products (EWPs) in today’s construction market, it’s now more important than ever to understand how to properly select, install and detail engineered wood materials.

September 17 | 11:30 am - 1 pm AIACV: Transforming How We Build: Embodied Carbon of Building Materials The presentation will cover carbon neutral and net zero architecture, social equity and other innovations that transform ideas and processes to address climate change.

September 17 | 12 pm - 1 pm AIASD: Dollars for Design: Optimizing the R&D Tax Credit for Architecture (1 LU) This course will cover eligibility requirements, new tax laws and guidance, and case studies that will provide a roadmap for saving dollars for design.

September 17| 5 pm - 6:30 pm RUD: Learning from Bologna: Heritage Planning in Italy The recent landmarking controversy in Berkeley exposed issues with the City’s approach to preservation. We'll look at the typo-morphological approach to heritage adopted by Italy and in North America to see what lessons may be learned from an alternative approach.

September 29 | 4:30 pm - 6 pm AIAOC: The Press Building Tour Re-Use and Re-brand The Second Life of a Processing Facility (1.5 LU | HSW) This presentation will cover the history of the building used as LA Times newsroom, printing press, and distribution facility.
