Reaching Our World For Christ
From Your Associational Mission Strategist
The time has come once again for our HBA Annual Meeting. On September 13th we will gather in person and online for a great time of worship and preaching from God’s word. I want to remind our churches that since we are social distancing, we are asking each church to send only three representatives. We ask that the Pastor be present and bring the HBA executive committee representative and one other person. We will also be asking everyone to wear a Facemask. The meeting will be streamed online through FBC Vienna Facebook page. The meeting will be shorter this year, but I know that God is going to move in our hearts as we gather together. I am excited to have PJ Dunn with us this year as he will be preaching from God’s word. The theme for this meeting is “Disciples-Making Disciples”. Bro. Dunn is our SW Region Discipleship Consultant and I am looking forward to what he will share with us regarding our theme. I believe that we are seeing the decline of the local church because we have drifted from the mandate given to us in scripture to make disciples. I am praying this meeting will help challenge us and encourage us to be more diligent in fulfilling the Great Commission. I pray that every church will have their representatives present and that we will have a large number with us through social media.

It is a joy to serve this Association and I am looking forward to the coming year as we continue to focus on strengthening churches and encouraging each other to reach more people with the Gospel!
