To the Chicago Statistics Community,
I am excited to start the 2020-2021 year for the Chicago Chapter American Statistical Association (CCASA). We are proud to be part of one of the most vibrant local chapters in the United States! I am honored to serve as your President for this coming year and, while we have a lot challenges offered by our world, the Board is committed to adapt and continue to bring value and connection. You can look forward to many of the same great events like the luncheon speaker series, networking opportunities, workshops, conferences and the impactful awards that recognize contributions to our profession and community!
The CCASA is blessed with great stability from all of the board members. I would like to express our gratitude to Julie Schmidt for her leadership as President during the 2019-2020 term and, in particular, during the period of great disruption we all experienced in our daily lives. Thank you Julie! In addition to so many long-standing contributors, I welcome our newest board members, Jeanette Shutay and John Lee. The chapter enjoys a strong financial position, a continually growing membership and a focus on inclusivity and listening to the membership to build on our collective strengths!
I would like to introduce the board that are stewards of this very successful chapter. Each of them bring great experience and a strong commitment to serving the Chicago community.
