STAR SERVICES DURING COVID-19: WHAT WE'VE DISCOVERED
These are confusing, anxiety-filled, and uncertain times for all of us, and this most certainly includes our clients. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, many of our clients have been unable to work due to job cutbacks and/or job losses, and have needed more assistance than usual. In addition to crisis intervention, education, advocacy, follow up services, counseling and referrals, we have also been able to help with increased requests for relocation services, clothing, food and transportation.

Having conversations with both the child, and the babysitter about personal body safety is one very simple way to help prevent child sexual abuse. Read more...

October is right around the corner, and that means it is almost time to take action during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Oct. 15: Kyle Hopkins will be presenting on his Unheard Project that is giving voice to women who have been victims of sexual abuse.
Oct. 22: Andrew Watson will be talking about how men can step outside the “man box” to live more authentically.
Oct. 30: Joshua Medina will be exploring ways that we, as a community, can help raise men into respectful manhood.
