Approval of minutes
I was asked if boards in the state of Wisconsin can approve minutes via email. All the associations I've worked or volunteered for approve the minutes at the next meeting. Does anyone know the answer?

Share your revenue generation story with us!
WSAE is planning a webinar on revenue generation and would like to showcase several associations that have implemented new revenue sources due to the pandemic. We'd like to hear about revenue sources outside of the event area.

VISIT Milwaukee launches community-wide 'Bring It Home' campaign
There has never been a more crucial time to bring future meetings business back to Milwaukee. VISIT Milwaukee is putting a call out to all business and community leaders, as well as any residents who are active in local, regional, or national chapters and associations, to ask that they look to their hometown to host their next board or business meeting. Whether it's a 10-person board meeting or a 10,000-person convention, booking future events in our city will be key to our local economic recovery.
While VISIT Milwaukee is spearheading the campaign, it is up to the Milwaukeeans to rally behind the message and "shop local" when planning future meetings. The impact of these meetings and events goes far beyond just the hospitality industry.

Deadline extended to join community letter
The deadline to join ASAE's latest sign-on letter has been extended to Friday, September 25. Add your organization today. As a reminder, the letter calls on Congress to expand eligibility under the PPP to include 501(c)(6) organizations. The letter does not include asks unrelated to the PPP.
In addition to providing for 501(c)(6) eligibility on equitable terms (e.g., employee caps and eligibility for organizations that lobby), the letter calls on Congress to enact the following PPP-related provisions:
- Reauthorize the Program until at least March 31, 2021;
- Include 501(c)(6) nonprofits in the so-called "second draw" program;
- Expand the definition for eligible "receipts" within the "second draw" program to include in-person event cancellations and lost revenue from certification programs and other education; and
- Apply lobbying language as outlined in Section 90001 of the HEROES Act and included in the broadly bipartisan Local Chamber, Tourism, and 501(c)(6) Protection Act of 2020 (H.R. 6697).
