Harvest Season
You may have already begun harvesting some of your produce. All that work means you can now enjoy the yield, the beauty around you, and the good fortune of gardening.
Be sure to continue with good hygiene practices in the garden.
- Remove diseased plants from the roots. Dispose them in the yard waste – not compost, as the disease could spread.
- Mulch with the fallen leaves from the trees. Many important nutrients are produced from decaying leaves.
- Clean your tools thoroughly, so you’re ready for next spring.
