Hello Chamber Members,

The American Canyon Chamber of Commerce has been diligently working to show our value to both the business and resident communities. For years we have been asked, "What does the chamber do?" Well, actions speak louder than words and we believe that we are beginning to show American Canyon Canyon what the chamber can do.

After hearing time and time again about how small businesses want to connect with the residents, we launched the Meet Me In The Street event series; directly placing businesses in front of residents in a fun community-driven atmosphere.

Additionally, we are working hard to have the voice of business be heard. Within our city, the chamber is showing up to city council meetings and actively engaging with city council and staff to represent the interests of our members. Countywide we have joined forces with the other chambers of commerce to create the Napa Valley Chamber Coalition, our goal is to provide a stronger voice for business when discussing issues and topics at the county level.

Also, we are continuing on with old favorites like our Business Social, American Canyon Executives (ACE) morning leads group, and connecting non-profits with businesses to strengthen our community. We revamped our Economic Business Development group, to find out how we can be a resource to drive new business to our city and help existing businesses thrive.

We hope that our efforts are not going unnoticed! If you have any questions about what we have done and where we are going, just send me an email valerie@amcanchamber.org to discuss.

The chamber will be launching a 2021-2022 Membership Drive next month and we will need your help to spread the word of what our chamber does for your business. Keep an eye out for upcoming referral promotions!

As always, if you need help navigating through issues in your business, please reach out for assistance. We are always open to brainstorming and finding resources to help. That is what we do! You can reach us at the American Canyon Chamber Office at 707.552.3650.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,
Valerie Zizak-Morais,
President/CEO

Meet Me In The Street American Canyon
The American Canyon Chamber of Commerce created a fun way to kickstart local businesses and build upon a sense of community in the area by taking it to the streets! The idea is to ‘bridge business with the community' while offering a safe place to gather while helping businesses make up some lost revenue due to the pandemic.

This three-part summer series of events includes a food truck rally, tables for businesses and nonprofits, live music, kids’ activities, adult beverages, a car show, and a cornhole tournament.

“It was a wildly successful event, we had over 85 businesses and nonprofits participate, 18 food trucks, and saw over 4,000 residents from the American Canyon community and beyond,” said Valerie Zizak-Morais, the chamber’s President/CEO. “It was exactly what our businesses and residents needed.”
The American Canyon Chamber of Commerce has several opportunities for you to help build and inspire our business and residential community. Each opportunity gives you a chance to grow your professional and personal network while having fun and doing something for a cause. Volunteering in general can help you make friends, learn new skills, advance your career, and can even help you feel happier and healthier.

Whether it is welcoming visitors to our city and the Napa Valley, putting together community building celebrations, organizing economic development events, or working directly to foster successful businesses, we have opportunities for you to get up, get out, and make an impact in American Canyon. Keep reading to learn more about each option so you can choose which opportunity is right for you.
