What a Week! CS Week That Is!
The past 18 months remain an era we’ll talk about for years to come. Pandemic lockdowns, social distancing, mask requirements, vaccinations, work from home, remote school… the restrictions and exceptions seem endless. Everyone has a story or two to tell of how they survived and thrived; some also have stories of loss.
Despite these uncertain times, CS Week opted to plan and deliver a hybrid 2021 conference experience. Certain venues would be virtual; some live, in-person; and others both.
Below, we salute the six venues and their resourceful planning teams, the 800+ attendees who enjoyed reconnecting face-to-face and the opportunities for professional growth and learning that made CS Week 2021 attendee memories on August 16-19 in Tampa, FL.
Watch for an email broadcast at the end of September announcing Fall 2021 Newsline. This digital-only edition will be posted to csweek.org on September 30. It will feature highlights of Tampa’s conference experience, these venues and their speakers and activities, plus attendee interactions. Lots of photos will showcase the Week including the Exhibit Hall where 70+ vendors set up booths and met personally with utility professionals looking for products/services to meet CX lifecycle needs. Find out who won CS Week’s signature vehicle giveaway winner and prize winners at the Women in Utilities Sunrise Event. It was an exhilarating Week. If you were there, you understand. |
“Lean In is intended for professional women to help them achieve their career goals and for men who want to contribute to a more equitable society. The book argues that barriers are still preventing women from taking leadership roles in the workplace…. Sandberg claims there are also barriers that women create for themselves through internalizing systematic discrimination and societal gender roles. Sandberg argues that in order for change to happen women need to break down these societal and personal barriers by striving for and achieving leadership roles. The ultimate goal is to encourage women to lean in to positions of leadership because she believes that by having more female voices in positions of power there will be more equitable opportunities created for everyone.”
